March 4 - March 28, 2004: Newman’s FALL DOWN GET UP reverberates with hope, humor & humanity – a great way to celebrate National Women’s History Month in March! Naomi Newman brings to life a parade of fascinating characters, created over the last 25 years, in her new one-woman show, Fall Down Get Up. Traveling Jewish Theatre’s 25th season continues with this original play, directed by Ben Yalom of San Francisco’s FoolsFURY. The play weaves a tapestry of women’s voices from an array of cultures, classes and ages, including a flamboyant Yiddish theater actress, a German bohemian poet, an African slave, a wisecracking street crone and many others. Their stories, songs, dances and jokes serve up wise and witty recipes for living – directions for the many ways to “fall down get up.”
